An Invitation From Chris McWatters, Tejas Trails

Hello Bandera business owners and managers. This is Chris McWatters, the owner of Tejas Trails. We have our annual (20th year this year) HOKA Bandera Endurance Trail Run happening this coming week (Jan 6-8) at Hill Country State Natural Area. We know it’s last minute, but we want to invite you to come out to the event site and setup a booth if it would be beneficial to you.

We already have a food truck, so we can’t have any additional food vendors selling food onsite, but you are still more than welcome to come out and promote your restaurant or bar/saloon. But if you sell goods or services, come out and sell them onsite. Or just generally promote your company to the racers and spectators.

The main race hub is back at the Group Lodge.  There will be a lot of folks onsite:
 - Friday around 11am to 7pm,
 - Saturday around 6am to late night,
 - Sunday around 6am to 7pm.

Come for any or all of it. Feel it out. If it gets lonely, head out. Whatever makes sense for you in the moment works for us.

No charge for this. We just want our event to help as many of you local business owners as possible.

Just reply to Chris McWatters at [email protected] if you want in or have questions. We will make sure to hold a ~10x10 space back for you.

A little more about this event and us, for those who care:
Myself, my wife, and two little daughters are the owners and operators of Tejas Trails. We produce about 20 trail running events and are around the 2nd or 3rd largest trail running event production companies in the USA. We live on the outskirts of Austin. Even though we are among the biggest in our niche business, we operate with no other full-time staff. Just a bunch of friends who have their own careers and help us on the side, plus hundreds of volunteers throughout the year.
We love what we do, and are very proud of what this particular trail race has become. Our Bandera trail run is now among the most prestigious ultra trail races in the world. It draws runners from all 50 states and about a dozen countries each year. It qualifies top pro runners on to the most coveted race in North America and then onto Chamonix, France. This year the race will be live streamed around the globe. We love showing off the best of Texas and obviously feel like Bandera is the best of the best.
We simply want our events to benefit as many other small business owners as possible. We hope to meet you all and we pray this event is helpful to each of you. Looking forward to getting to know more folks each year.
